This has got to be one of the coolest things ever:
The Ice Book from Davy and Kristin McGuire on Vimeo.
I'm always amazed by how creative people are.

Save Your Enthusiasm
I'm still learning about how to write and illustrate children's books, but one thing I've learned is when you are in the early stages of story creation, be it novel, children's book or chapter book in the beginning you should save your enthusiasm for yourself.
The first story idea I every seriously pursued I was so excited about, that I told anyone who would listen the whole idea, going into great detail about every little thing. As a result my interest in the story waned and it never got finished. But I learned from this experience. When an idea is new and not fully developed, keep it to yourself.
Wait until you have a firmer grasp of what you want to say before saying it. I think when you share to soon you invite other people's visions of the story to color it and things get murky. You lose enthusiasm, you stop writing or drawing, you just stop. So wait a while and save your enthusiasm.
