So I decided to give blogging another try, don't know if it will last- we'll see

My mother and some friends are having a garage sale this weekend and asked me if I would like to sell some of my stuff. I thought why not and spent most of Friday fiddling with magnets and greeting cards. My stone cards, which are based off a much bigger picture, just needed to be bagged with envelopes. For the hell of it I made some cards out of my Pear and Blue Poppy paintings.

My dad found some more business magnets recently, which I promptly confiscated. I love these things! Of course I really like magnets in general - their cheap and make nice little pieces of art.

Of course I had to make some magnets to sell at the garage sale - so I did some Night Sky, Gorilla and Blue Poppy magnets. Th
ey turned out really well.

The picture shows all m
y stuff layed out at the garage sale. As you can see (upper right) I also have some miscellaneous cards that I did a while ago for sale.

Before I left on Saturday I made my first sale - how cool is that!

After the garage sale I went to a watercolor painting demonstration given by Frank Francese. It was great. Boy does that man paint fast! He completed two full sheet (thats around 20x30inches) paintings in about 3 1/2 hours, and they were nice paintings. He was also a lot of fun to watch, very entertaining. I wish I could afford his workshop, but being a poor student, alas that is out of my budget. I couldn't find a website for him but here is a site with a lot of his paintings on it for those who are interested: http://www.artinthemountains.com/frankfrancese.htm

Here are some pictures I took from the demonstration. Unfortunately I was in the back so the view wasn't as good as it could have been.

By the way I just discovered Imogen Heap's new song Hide and Seek, I love it!
